Performer Sign-Up: How to participate?

*IMPORTANT: If you’re interested in performing, please read the following carefully:

1. You must first audit an Industry Event (agent/manager or casting). To do so, fill out the Viewer/Auditor Sign-Up Form — this step is required before you can perform.

2. Instructor Approval is Required You’ll need approval from your Scene Study instructor or from Desean before performing for the first time.

*Once approved, you’re all set for future events and don’t need to re-confirm.

Performance Format:

Solo Performance (3-minute maximum): You will perform sides with one of our provided readers (both male and female readers available) or monologue.

Scene with Partner (5-minute maximum): You will perform with your chosen scene partner. Important: Each performer must complete this form separately to secure their spot, and all participants must meet eligibility requirements.

I Understand the Time Limits:

– Partner scenes (with two currently enrolled students who are both approved and signed up): up to 5 minutes– Solo work (includes monologues or scenes with a reader): up to 3 minutes

Please double-check your scene timing—we’ll need to stick to these limits to keep the event running smoothly.

Important Note:

I understand that if I don’t submit my scene materials by the deadline, my performance spot may be offered to someone on the waitlist.
