Denise Woods
Denise Woods has been the 'voice behind the voice' of Hollywood's elite for over twenty years. She coached Tyler Perry's A Jazzman's Blues, The Harder They Fall (starring Idris Elba), and served as creative consultant for Halle Berry's directorial debut, Bruised.
Denise coached Mahershala Ali's Academy Award-winning performance in Green Book and HBO's True Detective, Don Cheadle in Black Monday, Will Smith in Ali, and Ken Watanabe in The Last Samurai. She worked with Audra McDonald on her fourth Tony Award-winning performance in Porgy and Bess, Zoe Saldana in the Nina Simone biopic, and coached Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monae in Hidden Figures, Cynthia Erivo in Harriet, and Naomi Ackie in the Whitney Houston biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody. She recently coached David Oyelowo in Paramount+'s Lawmen (produced by Taylor Sheridan) and Apple TV's Government Cheese.
Her clients span two decades and include Jessica Chastain, Anthony Mackie, Queen Latifah, Ellen Burstyn, Rachel Weisz, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jeffrey Wright, and Mike Myers.

Created specifically for LAS, this masterclass offers a rare chance to train directly with one of Hollywood’s most sought-after voice, speech, and dialect experts. Explore how breath, voice, and speech work together to unlock authenticity, master dialects, and deepen truth in every performance.
For this one-of-a-kind workshop, Denise will host two large group sessions with workshop attendees and one smaller group session for each participant, giving everyone both dynamic classroom experiences and individualized attention from Denise herself.
