Casting Workshop with Natasha Ward, CSA

Natasha Ward is a member of the Casting Society of America, an award-winning casting director, producer, teacher, acting coach and casting consultant from San Antonio, Texas. Based in Los Angeles since 2004, Natasha got her start with veteran casting directors Chemin Bernard and Monica Swann on the FOX film "Fat Albert," and has since cast over 200 projects including award-winning feature films, short films, television, digital series, commercials, documentaries, theater, and reality. Natasha also served as VP of Casting and Talent Relations for streamer, UrbanflixTV, for the last 2 years.  

 

In 2016 Natasha stepped into the producing world with the SXSW premiered film "9 Rides", directed by Academy Award Winner Matthew Cherry, and shot entirely on an iPhone 6 in 4k. To date, she has over ten successfully produced projects including Baron Davis's feature "Domino: Battle of the Bones" starring Snoop Dogg, comedy "Hip Hop History High" starring legendary Matt Barnes and Gary Payton, "Phels High" starring veterans Michael Hyatt and Omari Hardwick. 

 

Known to work on multiple projects, Natasha is currently casting the BET Christmas film "The First Noelle”, indie "Hope Street Holiday", 2 Short films for Hillman Grad’s Indeed Presents Rising Voices Season 2, and AMC/WE TV's first scripted show “Kold x Windy".  Natasha is also casting and producing Keke Palmer's first executive produced short, as well as another short executive produced by Spike Lee for NY Tish Grad School, “High & Mighty" from writer Dean Batali (That 70's Show), and “Oh Affion” from funny man Affion Crockett. Additionally, she is working with long-time collaborator Issa Rae to cast and produce her highly anticipated HBOMax Original Podcast, "We Stay Looking" with super producers Tenderfoot TV and The Raedio. 

 

Today Natasha’s mission is to develop relationships that make positive differences in the lives of creatives to elevate their dreams, unlock their passions, and empower them to succeed. Through the power of storytelling, Natasha will continue to entertain, inform, and inspire people around the world.
