Saturday Scene Study Class

with Desean Terry & Gabrielle Salinger

We're excited to announce the launch of our new Saturday Scene Study Class beginning mid-March 2025!

This class is perfect for actors looking to deepen their craft in a focused weekend environment. Co-taught by Desean K. Terry and Gabrielle Salinger, LAS Scene Study engages actors in a step-by-step process designed to unleash their complete instrument—imagination, body, and personal viewpoint—within the given circumstances. Under the guidance of Desean and Gabrielle, you'll work on contemporary scenes while developing your unique artistic voice.

You'll gain insight into cultivating narrative from your distinct perspective and voice while developing the skills to make personal, illuminating choices that bring the writer’s world to life. Using script analysis, tools from The Creative Lab, and improvisational techniques, this class will challenge you to dive deeper into your artistry and authentically embody your work, making it truly imaginative and physical.

About the Creative Lab Requirement

What is The Creative Lab, and why do I need to take it?

The Creative Lab is a prerequisite/corequisite course designed to unlock your imagination and unique creative impulses. It introduces essential tools such as Active Analysis, The Creative State, and Creative Tasks, providing a foundation that complements all future training in Scene Study or Film/TV Audition Technique.
This work is specifically based on key concepts and a deeper understanding of the creative process for actors. It is not a general or beginner acting class…it is unique to the work we do here at LAS.
